Mitsubishi Polyester Film is a long standing supplier of standard PET films to be laminated into photovoltaic back sheets. HOSTAPHAN® gives these laminates the excellent dielectric insulation (break down and partial discharge properties) as well as mechanical stability which is necessary for back sheets for photovoltaic applications.

Thanks to our experience with PET films as well as in the field of back sheets for photovoltaic applications we could effectively stabilise the polyester film. To meet the increasing market interest for fluor polymer free photovoltaic PET-back sheet solutions, we have developed our hydrolysis stabilised HOSTAPHAN® LHA, a PET film with improved weatherability. This is based on HOSTAPHAN® LHA´s increased UV resistance and UV barrier as well as its significantly increased performance in high temperature high humidity environments. HOSTAPHAN® LHA may be combined with standard PET films, e.g. HOSTAPHAN® RN, and other polymer films for a variety of laminate structures suitable for hydrolysis stabilised back sheets for photovoltaic applications.
